Some time ago, I received a message from a man I sold something to on Marketplace. His message wasn’t professional - it was disrespectful, invasive, and honestly, downright disgusting. And it wasn’t just about me; it also spoke volumes about how he probably treats his partner at home.

Here’s what he wrote:

“Marketplace isn’t a dating app, but you’re really hot… haha actually, I wanted to pay for those clothes in kind 😜
Pöoh 😁😜☺️😚
I’d love to meet up for coffee ☕️”

This kind of behavior hits a raw nerve because it’s a glaring reminder of how women are disrespected everywhere, every day. After a tough breakup and a long healing journey, I’m fiercely clear on my boundaries. But some men act like boundaries are invisible. Like disrespect is a game.

I Called Him Out - For All of Us

So, I called him out - not just for me, but for his partner, who might not know what he’s really like.

Silence only fuels this toxic nonsense.

 

 

My Unfiltered Reply

Here’s my reply:

“No thanks. I’m not interested in a teenager with zero self-control.

Your profile shows you have a partner - what would she say if she knew you’re making inappropriate moves on other women?
This behavior is unacceptable. I’m reporting you. Clearly, you have a lot to learn - just like many others of your kind.
Men like you are exactly why I fight to raise awareness about the abuse women face.
Keep harassing me, and I won’t stop at reporting. If I find your partner, she’ll know everything. It’s embarrassing to have a man like you under her roof.
Remember: Karma always comes back — and it’s doing its work.”

 

 

What This Taught Me

What did I learn?
We have to keep speaking up. Keep exposing what’s NOT okay. Keep fighting for change.
This isn’t a joke. This isn’t a one-off. It’s a pattern — and it needs to stop.

Is this a sign from the Universe that my mission is crucial? Hell yes.
